BODEGAS BARAHONDA participates the next week in the International Wine and Spirit Trade Fair PROWEIN 2013 in Düsseldorf showing our last wines.
Prowein, the wine trade fair in Düsseldorf is one of the most important events about wine. This year it will be visited for the best expert of this sector.

Robert Parker, the American wine critical published the last Friday 31st of August on his magazine, The Wine Advocate, the last rating for Barahonda wines getting theses very good marks.
Robert Parker is considered one of the most relevant taster of wine around the world.

WINE&SONGS
Señorío de Barahonda has collaborated with the publicist Jorge Martinez that has created the brand “Wine&Songs” with the intention to mix his two big passions: wine and music.
Señorío de Barahonda has used his grand experience and well knows to elaborate el wine, a coupage form by the varieties Monastrell, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon selected by the wine maker Ignacio de Figueroa.
Lara Lopez, Radio 3 of RNE’s director has been in charge to select the music after a barrel tastes.
The result is the wine 59h 35’ 03’’ that is the time that the wine has been in bottle while sound the choose music.
YECLA'S WINE TASTING IN MADRID
SEÑORIO DE BARAHONDA has been present in the Yecla‘s wine tasting that was celebrate last 23rd of November at Centro Riojano in Madrid. There we present our wine HEREDAD CANDELA MONASTRELL 2010 y BELLUM EL REMATE 2006 that was the unique wine from Spain that wine a Grosses Gold Medal in MUNDUS VINI 2011 International Wine Award.
ROBER PARKER SPEAKS ABOUT D.O YECLA'S WINES
Robert Parker the American critic has emphasized some Spanish wine regions that in the next years will be more important for their wine’s quality at Winefuture in Hong Kong. “Wines from Albariño that are less know, and wines from Bierzo and Yecla will have a big future”. Spain is a country with a spectacular vineyard.
Robert Parker has noted: “The Spanish have realized they can do much in the world of wine. The expansion of vineyards in Spain allows making great wines. Therefore, the country is called to gain weight in international markets “
MUNDUS VINI 2011 INTERNATIONAL WINE AWARD 2011
BODEGAS SEÑORIO DE BARAHONDA unique winery from Spain that wins a Grand Gold in MUNDUS VINI International wine award 2011.
Señorío de Barahonda has been awarded in Mundus Vini with a Gran Gold medal for the wine Bellum El Remate 2006 and two gold medals for Barahonda Barrica 2009 and Carro 2010.
Señorio de Barahonda becomes in the winery that more gold medals has win in Mundus Vini 2011 in Murcia and the unique winery that has won a Grand Gold in Spain.
IV CONTEST SELECTION OF WINE FROM YECLA 2011
Señorío de Barahonda is going to participate like years before in the Contest Selection of wine from Yecla that organice the Consejo Regulador de la Denominación de Origen Yecla (D.O Yecla)
This event will take place the next 27th of May in Consejo Regulador’s tasting room.
All the award will be announced during the dinner that is going to be celebrate the same day.

"NIREA" THE NEW WINE BY MARTÍN BERASATEGUI, ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CHEFS IN SPAIN
Señorio de Barahonda has received the visit of Martín Berasategui to taste the new vintages of his wines, the last creation of the Candela brothers with Martín Berasategui, one of the most imporant chefs in Spain with a restaurant with 3***Michelin Stars, in Lasarte.
They have made two different wines, Nirea Monastrell 100% monastrell grapes and Nirea Joven 2009 made from monastrell, syrah and garnacha.
WELCOME TO MEXICO D.F.
The next 16 of February Señorio de Barahonda Winery will take part in the IV Wine Exhibition in Mexico D.F. organised by the Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish Embassy in Mexico.
A selection of wineries has been choosen to show and promote the wines from Spain. The event will take part in the Camino Real Hotel from 12:00 to 21:00 in the Terraza Virreyes, Mariano Escobedo 700 Street. Col. Anzures. Mexico D.F.
HARD WINTER IN YECLA
Las month we had great days with snow which helps our vineyards to avoid some plagues and prepares them to the new season.
This climate is good for watering the earth so it goes to the deepest layer and it is very good for the vineyards.

Señorio de Barahonda has been choosen by the ICEX Institue of Commerce and WINES FROM SPAIN as one of the greates wineries from Spain.
Among all the spanish wineries we are the one has have achieve 5 wines.
This Report was launched the 1st of July and the 6 th we have been given another good news, our BELLUM REMATE 2005, sweet wine, has reached 90 points by R.Parker, so it makes 6 WINES from Barahonda.
This is a good recognition for this winery that is working hard for make a name in the wine business.

Señorio de Barahonda has been choosen to take part in the professional Spanish Wine fair that will take place next 6th of April in the Terminal Passengers of Amsterdam.
At the same time a Seminar will take place by the Master Wine Frank Smulders where he will talk about “grape varieties as Monastrell” where our Barahonda Monastrell 2007 as been choosen.
This event is under the supervision of the ICEX and Wines from Spain.

Summun's newest harvest at last
After waiting eight months due to the quick selling of the nice Summun 2006 once again able to enjoy this successful wine for the most discerning palates. A limited production and numbered from 1 to 4300 with a glass stopper, make this wine an article of collector
After a rigorous selection of our grapes Monastrell of foot franco (vineyards of 70 years), is prepared this red wine with a long maceration resting for 8 months in French oak casks.
EEUU VISIT TO BARAHONDA:
A group of American wine distributors visited the facilities of Barahonda winery and spent a very good time making tasting and having dinner at the Restaurant.

Congratulations, 2 Silver Medal in Bruxells
After the big bling tasting of all the wines from all around the world, the 240 experts memebers of the jury present at Burdeaux, they gave their veredict: Barahonda Monastrell 2007 and Barahonda Barrica 2006 Silver Medal.
Two out of three wines presented to the contest were awarded.

Porsche visited Barahonda
Porsche Murcia organized the day “Cayenne Gourmet”, directed to its clients in whom the pleasure of the conduction and the good table were united.
Once in the winery, they visited our facilities, they tasted our wines and they enjoyed the gastronomical delights in our restaurant.

Dicen que año de nieves año de bienes, este es uno de esos años, las uvas obtenidas después del crudo invierno no han sido muy abundantes, pero si de gran calidad, por la que esta cosecha 2006 la recordaremos por sus excelentes vinos, que transmiten todo el caráter ade esta tierra.
