La Castañona

On site at our bodega you can get to know one of our estates, the La Castañona vineyard.
The estate still today retains its soberly clad manor house with its own chapel where the Virgen del Carmen (a wooden sculpture dating from the 18th century) is still devoutly venerated; the house was also built at the end of the 18th century and renovated during the 1990s. During the visit you will get to know the different varieties the bodega has, namely Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Petit Verdot etc. Also, you can find out about the vine’s vegetative cycle and all the work that goes on in the vineyard throughout the year.
