Tasting Notes:
Made from 100% Monastrell grapes harvested each November. The origin of these grapes is from vineyards older than 50 years and cultivated in a dry climate conditions. As part of the preparation process, the grapes were harvested at 6:00 am., stored in boxes with a maximum weight of 20Kg, kept at 10°C. All grapes were hand selected, then pressed and macerated at the same temperature. When the desired alcoholic level is reached, fermentation was halted however maceration continued for another 20 days. Following this, the maceration was moved out from steel containers into oak barrels where it rested for a further 6 months.
Nice cherry colour, almost opaque, with violet hints.
It has an overpowering aroma of red fruit scents, recalling the grape used. Also able to appreciate hints of the oak wood used during the preparation
It has a powerful, pleasant taste, with sweet and warm relishing undertones.
Recommendations:
Best enjoyed between 15°/16°C. Strongly recommended for desserts.
