This region\u2019s winemaking tradition dates back to the Phoenicians, who cultivated vines in these soils with their challenging conditions of poor quality and extreme climate. In recent years, the small D.O. Yecla has gained rapid recognition for the unique character and quality of its wines, especially those made from the indigenous Monastrell variety.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Our Vineyards<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our vineyards thrive at an altitude of between 535 and 870 meters above sea level, on deep soils composed of limestone and low in organic matter. The continental climate, with temperatures that vary between -6\u00b0C in winter and 40\u00b0C in summer, along with low rainfall and significant day-night temperature fluctuations, contribute to slow ripening and enhance the concentration and intensity of flavors, color, and aromas in the grapes.\u00a0<\/p>

Currently, we have 150 hectares of owned vineyards and manage an additional 600 hectares through our agricultural technical department, with the goal of obtaining the best grapes. The vines are planted in either rectangular or square layouts\u2014depending on whether they are bush-trained or trellised\u2014at planting densities ranging from 1,200 vines per hectare in dry-farmed plots to 2,900 vines per hectare in irrigated plots. In both cases, bush-trained and trellised vineyard systems are allowed.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
