Monastrell has compact clusters and small, round berries, first documented in the 15th century, though it has undoubtedly been used to make wine here for much longer. With its small, round berries, Monastrell produces wines that are rich, deeply colored, complex, and aromatic. This variety is known elsewhere as Mourv\u00e8dre or Matar\u00f3. One of Monastrell\u2019s greatest advantages\u2014aside from producing wines with unique, personal qualities\u2014is that it is a variety that adapts poorly to other regions outside of Murcia. This gives us the rare ability to produce wines that are unlike those from any other wine region; in contrast, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Tempranillo, and other well-known grapes are found across almost every wine-producing country. However, those looking for wines made from Monastrell must come to our region.<\/p>

Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet, Tempranillo, Tintorera, and Petit Verdot (reds), and Verdejo, Macabeo, and Air\u00e9n (whites) are the noble companions to our queen Monastrell in our vineyards.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
