This week, Barahonda opened an exhibition by Yecla-based artist Rafael Picó, creator of the official poster for the 64th edition of the Yecla Furniture Fair, in an initiative that brings together culture, creativity and support for the city’s leading economic and business showcase.
The exhibition features the artistic series Profundamente (“Deeply”) and Habita mi mente (“Inhabit My Mind”), the latter directly linked to the graphic work created for this year’s edition of the fair. The exhibition can be visited at Restaurante Barahonda, in a setting where art, gastronomy and territory naturally come together. The official presentation took place this Wednesday at Barahonda, on the eve of the Yecla Furniture Fair, the oldest event of its kind in Spain and one of the city’s main drivers of economic activity and international visibility.
“This initiative is another way of supporting culture and local talent, while also demonstrating our commitment to the Yecla Furniture Fair and to all those projects that help promote the identity and creativity of our region,” says Antonio Candela, CEO of Barahonda. The exhibition forms part of Barahonda’s ongoing commitment to promoting cultural and artistic initiatives connected to the territory, further establishing the winery and restaurant as a space open to contemporary creativity and to the meeting of different disciplines.
The exhibition can be visited at Restaurante Barahonda from Monday to Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for the general public, and from 1:30 p.m. onwards for guests with a restaurant reservation.
